Slowhand, the music video download and learning software, announces the launch of new versions for Macs, upgrades for the PC version and a new Slowhand Community. Launched in 2015, Slowhand lets you download music lessons and videos from YouTube and Vimeo, as well as your hard drive, and create loops, zoom in and slow down the video so you can learn any song quickly.

The Slowhand software is a powerful way for any musician on any instrument to quickly learn how songs are played, and even makes it easy to practice until you have it note for note. There are a variety of projects ready for download in the Slowhand Library that feature bass, saxophone, piano, keyboards, cello, even accordion, in addition to guitar projects.

A new Slowhand version for Macs will debut at the NAMM show with a release date in early July. Alongside the release of the Mac version, a new PC version of Slowhand will launch with an improved user interface that streamlines the ease of navigation.

In addition, the Slowhand Community will also debut at NAMM. The Slowhand Community is a web app where users can find Slowhand projects based on a wide variety of musical genres and instruments. The app allows Slowhand users to share their projects in the Community and will also feature projects created by MasterMind Design and a growing list of YouTube Influencers exclusively for the Slowhand Community.

“In terms of a social community, our aim is not to ‘reinvent the wheel’, but rather to provide a go-to place for Slowhand users to find what we all have in common and integrate social media that people already use. Learning to play music and how to play instruments using the Slowhand app is what the Community is all about,” says Bob DeKett, Founder of MasterMind Designs, the parent company for Slowhand.

With the release of this latest free update, Slowhand also gives you the option to save a project with only the loops you’ve created, saving storage space and speeding load times. This enhancement makes uploading and sharing your projects in the Slowhand User Library even easier than ever.

Slowhand is available as a free trial for download on the company website. The user receives 6 hours of unrestricted use for free before purchasing a license for $49.99. A Slowhand Pedal Controller is also available for complete hands free operation for $89.99.
